Mila Newbold is a British writer and musician who grew up in Kent. She fell in love with the South Coast, especially Hastings and the South Downs as a young adult, and felt thrilled to be able to use the soaring chalk hills and coastal weather as the setting for her debut novel 'Watcher'.

Mila is married to her amazing wife, Ella, and they share their home with two cats (Link and Cassie) and a poodle pup (Luna).
